One fall harvest.

Today, Black River Orchards is home to approximately 700 chestnut trees growing across 10 acres near South Haven, Michigan.

The orchard includes trees from several different planting periods, from some of its earliest trees more than three decades ago to younger additions planted in recent years. Together, they produce the annual chestnut harvest that brings customers back to the orchard each fall—and now allows that harvest to travel well beyond Southwest Michigan.
